Natural teacher workshop

For all teachers interested in using the outdoors as an extension of their classroom

Location: Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies on Smoky Bay Way
Date: Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm

Join three of Homer’s most experienced classroom Natural Teachers:

  • Carole Demers
  • Kim Fine
  • Sheryl Sotelo

for an informative and fun evening of insights into outdoor learning for students.

All classroom teachers are invited to attend an interactive panel discussion on the myriad ways to use the outdoors as an extension of the classroom. Hear success stories about outdoor learning and gather tips for taking field trips with students, how to work with school district administrators, identify nearby nature locations for student learning, and more. Chocolate will be provided. This event is free and no registration is required to attend.
