Gear that can be borrowed:
• Hand/manual ice auger (2)
• Ice fishing jigging rods (21)
• Ice ladle (9)
• Ice fishing tackle box w/ lures & bobbers (3)
• Ice fishing tip-ups (1)

Requirements for borrowing:
Only adults (with or without families) living in the Homer/Anchor Point area may borrow ice fishing gear. There is no fee for borrowing this gear. A driver’s license should be shown to staff so that the license # can be recorded on the check-out form. Name, address, email and phone information is required. **Borrowers – if gear is lost or severely damaged, you are responsible for replacing the gear.

Please remember that anyone over 16 years old fishing with this gear will need to have a current Alaska fishing license.

Borrowing Limits:
Families can check out up to 6 jigging rods, 1 ice auger, 2 ladles & 1 tackle box at a time for up to 3 days or over a weekend (which would include Mondays, since the Visitor Center is closed on Mondays).
