Education activities review: July 1-5

July 6, 2013

KBRR Education staff

We welcome summer education intern Tony Lewkowski. Tony is an undergraduate student at UAA studying environmental science in the Environment and Society program, with an emphasis on humanity’s impact specifically. When not studying or working part-time at a local cafe, he enjoys hiking, camping, biking, running, and playing music. He hopes to eventually have a career with ADF&G or perhaps the National Park Service. We are very happy to have Tony on our team this summer!

Public events

This week Jess led Estuary Hikes for 40 visitors, and Carmen led a Beach Walk today for 2 visitors.

This week’s Wednesday Glaciers on the Move Discovery Labs drew 81 visitors from all over the globe. Next week our labs will be focused on sportfishing for salmon, so please join us if you can.
